Armitage and Kedzie
The birth of the WRA. (wood relief agency) This photo is a representation of four individuals coming together to create a unique art piece for the Logan Square community. LYFR, Rehs, and myself collaborated on this site specific relief mural. (tc5 is not represented in the photo but was a crucial part in the creative process). The relief mural was located close to my home in the Windy City and one afternoon as I was adding to the existing composition a lovely lady just happened to walk by. She was delighted to meet me. She told me she had been walking by my art work for many years and it’s created this curiosity in her as to what the art meant. Abstract curiosity was born here as well on this magical corner.
The relief mural on Armitage and Kedzie has now passed on but the friendships and creative memories made will last a lifetime…
